Prematurity Awareness is one of our national signature programs that Sorors are expected to facilitate each year.  Phi Omicron Zeta has participated with this activity since 2010.  Every parent wants a healthy baby. But it doesn’t always happen that way. Too many babies die each year because they were born too small and too soon.

One in every 8 babies is born too soon in our country and the rate is even higher for African-American women. We need to change this. Together we can help more babies be born healthy and strong. Help raise awareness about premature birth at prematurity day. Share stories, give hope and save lives.

Phi Omicron Zetas participated in Zetas Prematurity Awareness program on November 18, 2012 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia Reverend H.K. Benton, Pastor. Informational flyers were printed, announced and distributed during the service.  Fourteen Sorors were in attendance for this activity.
