Phi Omicron Zeta Chapter

Our Chapter History

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Phi Omicron Zeta Chapter was chartered to serve Newton and Rockdale counties at the 13th Joint State Sigma / Zeta Leadership Conference at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Macon, Georgia on March 7, 2008. The eleven charter members include the following: Gloria Fallings, Joyce Hancock, Eula Smith Hardeman, Runette Bell Hines, Alison S. Jackson, Denise Johnson, Veronica Lawrence, Susie Little, Evon Denise Mazyck, Delores A. McCrary, and Dorothy Ruffin Moss. 


Phi Omicron Zeta has always been a Trailblazer of Service in the Newton/Rockdale County area, by way of the initiatives listed below, and to also include: Hosting a Jazz Benefit Concert, featuring the Rockdale High School Jazz Band, participating in panel discussions on Self Esteem at our partner Newton High School, taught a jump rope workshop at Newton High School, making a yearly donation of 35+ book bags stuffed with school supplies to our partner Livingston Elementary School, and hosting a yearly Very Merry Blue Christmas Party Fundraiser to aid in funding to serve to the residents of Newton and Rockdale Counties in a great capacity.
